How can one trust an employer who will question every second of your time as well as demand that you can forsee any eventuality while they cannot plan on a day to day basis never mind the huge rise in home shopping!.
The simplistic answer is that we could if Royal Mail brought in clocking in machines live every other company in the country but we know they won`t do this for 2 reasons imho.

1) They won`t spend the money.........maybe because it would cut into theirs and managers bonuses

2) They didn`t want or don`t want to upset the workforce by making it compulsory to return to the office in all areas as this would upset all the goodwill overtime they get from certain individuals and everyone would work more towards doing the job properly, less overtime either on the day or working days off.

In my office and im guessing others...I reckon it's cos they dont want to lay on conveyence back to the office, which they keep telling us is not their responsibility

More likely it would mean a Manager would have to stay at the DO to lock-up after the stragglers returned from delivery :whistle

That'll do if its across all shifts and all functions if not F**K EM

Interest earned would have a minimal effect on this decision, in fact the amount of interest earned would be insignificant. RM banks with RBS and their business accounts pay 0.05%-0.1% per year. Maybe RM will get better rates than that but I doubt they would be that significant.

There is a lot of money to be saved in bank charges by going monthly but the biggest savings would be on reduced headcount in HR.

We as a Union should be fighting for EVERY JOB and yet many dont seem to care as long it aint them! Thats the tmans way and your welcome to it!
You misunderstand, though that's probably intentional.

I couldn't give a monkey's whether you are weekly or monthly paid, but I was high-lighting your guess-work figures and somewhat weak and petty logic to still being weekly paid.
Check what you've just written too, eh? Life's too short to try and make any sense of most of that. :pray

You're still not getting this, Links.

You don't want monthly pay? Fine, good luck to you in your particular opposition, but quoting nonsensical "figures" and long errr, rambling posts about who knows what isn't going to change anyone's mind as to whether it's imposed/introduced or not.
See it now? :pray :pray
