Re: Keeping your spirits up.
Try a Purdey's or a supermalt, they are excellent pick-me-ups, mentally and physically.

Excuse me if you are of Afro-Carribean descent, but I tried that Supermalt once and it was rank! I couldn't drink it if me life depended on it! I'd rather that other trad Afro- Carribean drink, Guinness Foreign Extra Stoutbeinspired wrote:Try a Purdey's or a supermalt, they are excellent pick-me-ups, mentally and physically.

Re: Keeping your spirits up.
For me i ve used the radio and albums on mp3 but got bored with that. Iam fine for about 3 hours with nothing to listen too but i find the last 45mins of delivery the hardest. Now i download free audio books in mp3 and listen to them for the last push. I can look forward to the next bit each day and it takes my mind of the slog

Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

SCREW ALERT, SCREW ALERT Lock down this thread immediately, it has been infiltrated by management and is beyond saving....silly boy making references to drugs and their consumption on duty - as any fule know, OPGs can't afford anything naughty ( I can't even afford a four pack of beer a week, let alone anything else! )creedscat wrote:Few cans of breaker and a gram of beak keeps me sweet. you,re right, supermalt is like drinking beer for the first time, but then you get used to it. The trick is to drink it ice cold! But it works cos its packed with b vitamins.smokerjim wrote:Excuse me if you are of Afro-Carribean descent, but I tried that Supermalt once and it was rank!
