Mate just texted me our supposedly new pay deal. Go to monthly pay, with the first month being £2000. £160 a month pay increase, i.e. 40 extra a week thereafter. A set £20 for d2ds doing 5, and no rise for 3 years.

Never gonna happen - RM could offer us a £8k bung, but as soon as people see they have to survive 4 weeks on 1 weeks pay, they'll vote NO! ( And I sure as sh*t can't see RM giving us a bung before Monthly pay )

The professional drivers who went to monthly pay had a month upfront which was paid back over 12 months.

Ive talked about monthly pay many a time with members at my D.O and they are consistent in wanting a incentive for monthly pay. Without that they are not interested. Paying back a upfront sum would not be popular with them at all.

£160 a month pay increase would actually work out to £36.92 a week over the year

Does anyone really think we're going to get a £40 or £36.92 per week rise ,yet another rumour,monthly pay i can believe,we are one of the few outfits still on weekly pay.
