Re: change of hours
Interim agreement says no changes will be imposed until a national agreement is reached. I would suggest your rep starts the IR process.

Re: change of hours
they can talk, talk .. any attempt to impose change breaches the interim agreement .. the status quo remains in place until such time as an agreement is finalised through the ballot box.
The agreement may or may not compromise any office budget plan, so it is pointless in stirring trouble at this stage of proceedings.

Re: change of hours
Can you clarify changes as we heve been informed that we are losing 2 of our imps and getting 6 WSM from the 22 mar and that we will be TOLD what duties we have commencing week 22 mar by the shift manager with duties possibly changing by up to 2 hours this is being done with the involvment of the local union ? is this not covered by the national agreement and should we not get a vote on it first ?TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Interim agreement says no changes will be imposed until a national agreement is reached. Hopefully a Processing rep will be along to answer this as its sounds quite technical and beyond my limited experience.machineman wrote:Can you clarify changes as we have been informed that we are losing 2 of our imps and getting 6 WSM from the 22 mar and that we will be TOLD what duties we have commencing week 22 mar by the shift manager with duties possibly changing by up to 2 hours this is being done with the involvement of the local union ? is this not covered by the national agreement and should we not get a vote on it first ?TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Interim agreement says no changes will be imposed until a national agreement is reached. In my opinion I would think that as its related to Walk Sequencing which forms part of the new deal in deliveries, then any changes would be subject to review when and if the deal is accepted.
From one viewpoint I don't think it would be possible to vote out the machines themselves as they are coming regardless
However I think you should get a vote on whether or not to accept the changes if they do not allow CWU involvement (although it sounds like they might have this), or if the unit as a whole will accept an imposed revision, or perhaps elect for a repick of duties.
Also IMHO the reps should give you a choice as to whether or not to accept the change in duty times or try to attempt to mitigate or reverse their impact.

Re: change of hours
similar sort of things happening at our MC,getting rid of 3 LSMs and getting 8 CSS (WSM).Myself and quite a few others over the 3 shifts have LSM duties, and are being expected to go from our LSM duties to CSS duties,BUT a lot of us are not interested in this!(even the local rep has agreed this, without consulting the people involed!!!).I thought that under the way forward,we would have a resign, and retain our TPM money,as the duties have ceased to exist because of RM,not us signing out of them?Anyone got any thoughts/ideas on this?machineman wrote:Can you clarify changes as we heve been informed that we are losing 2 of our imps and getting 6 WSM from the 22 mar and that we will be TOLD what duties we have commencing week 22 mar by the shift manager with duties possibly changing by up to 2 hours this is being done with the involvment of the local union ? is this not covered by the national agreement and should we not get a vote on it first ?TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Interim agreement says no changes will be imposed until a national agreement is reached. Re: change of hours
IF we have a signing of dutys and you sign out of the mech you won't get TPM. But IF we don't have a signing you keep your TPM money for 3 years but could end up working anywhere. Hope this helps Hubba
