Plymouth MDEC Late Shift - Seemed very quiet but about 90 people decided to do refresher training. Atmosphere was very tense and yes I did as I said I crossed the picket line however after 30 minutes changed mind and walked out, manager threatened I would be taken down the conduct code.

See what happens now although the union have stated this won't happen. The management seemed very smug that people had crossed the line and were happy to see them in I am sure they are not so happy now.

This dispute needs to be sorted but on another matter 100,000 people strike RM save Â£5,700,000 in wages. I would love to know how much money it is costing them in fines and compensation for DSA.

So the regulator has left them off, so in RM minds they couldn't care less what happens as they will not be fined or need to compensate DHL, etc for lack of service. If this is true why would RM want to return to negotiations they not loosing out, apart from customers leaving and then that can be blamed on workers.

Plymouth MDEC Lates - I was in a real dilemna today. Alot of my friends who went on strike last time all went in today, as did I (I really cannot afford to lose money). I decided that although I agree totally with the CWU I cannot afford to lose the money.

However, I too walked out after 30 mins. I wish I'd never crossed the picket line, but I did, and trying to sit and key knowing some of my fellow collegues where outside fighting for all of us made me feeling awfully guilty. So I too left.

MDEC101 - I spoke with Union members outside as I wasn't sure of the result of my action (I didn't inform my manager) and they informed me that they cannot conduct you, all they will do is dock your pay accordingly.

MDEC101 and Teabag - You should be very proud of the stance you have taken and make sure you have the backing of the union if they do take you down the conduct code. I for one would be proud to have you standing next to me on the picket line.

If they do conduct you make sure your local and area rep make a lot of noise and perhaps even ballot everyone.

Cheers for the support guys. I just regret crossing the line in the first place. Still, I know I've made the right choice.

It's made me even more determined to continue supporting the Union, I just wish the MDEC had 100% support, but I don't think it ever will
