Maybe he'll give Sky Downstream Access to ITV's programmes at half the price it costs to actually make them. :cformdriver wrote:BBC and SKY will be s**tting themselves now. What a catch for ITV. lol

I wonder how much RM will pay him to go and I wonder how much ITV will pay him to come.![]()

It cost £500,000 to pay up Elmar Toime after personalty clashes with :lfo , I didn't realise that was possible TBH ; but you learn something new everyday .
The old school Civil Service types who were responsible for Horizon and Consignia ( which :lfo had stopped ) , buying European parcel companies for a million and selling them back for a tenner ; also got " golden handshakes " .
Probably to stop them publishing anything which a Newspaper Features Editor may serialise ?

Won't be much to write about on here when he's gone
You'd have thought he'd have come along to the counter and helped flog a few insurances before he left

Re: Crozier Going Now!!!
I had to laugh at the email we recieved at work referring to Crozier's "remarkable" achievements with Royal Mail.
I would have to agree that his achievements are indeed remarkable but the remarks that his "achievements" will no doubt generate would certainly not be allowed on this forum for fear of upsetting those contributors who do not appreciate a stream of four letter words; in the words of Jim Royle, "achievements my arse!"
But seriously this could be the last chance for the Government to appoint somebody at the highest level in Royal Mail Group who has a genuine understanding of the problems we face as a business, and somebody who genuinely understands the need to bring the workforce along with any changes and reforms.
Let's hope they grasp this chance as I truly believe that Crozier is doing the Group a favour by leaving but if another gobshite of the same breed gets the job then we might as well all pack up and go...NOW!
To finish on a positive note...f**k Off Crozier, the sooner the better(and please take Higson and Tolhurst with you).

Thing is with Mandelson pulling all the strings you just know he is going to parachute some neo-con, pro privatisation, union busting overlord if he gets the chance. He hates the CWU because we have defeated him twice, and then to top if off we fight his Golden Boy to a standstill. Mandelson is arrogant and vindictive enough to take it personally. Lets hope its not Willy Walsh

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Peter Mandelson "Thanks for all your Brighton tips. And the Daily Mirror for their lovely front page. There is still everything to play for!"
entertaining - very tongue in cheek
Gordon " Winky " Brown has only got 9 friends , one is Ambiwlan's Driver - think I've seen him before . The only serious one is Harridan Harperson .

Wasn't it on his watch they started dumping all this TNT post fon us for Royal Mail to deliver?billyhayes wrote:From Wikipedia, concerning his RM tenure:
"His reforms included highly controversial large scale Post Office closures in the thousands, layoffs of Royal Mail staff, changes in working practices, and the ending of the second class daily delivery and moving the first class time of delivery to later in the day.
After reading the above I was watching a recording of BBC's "Empire of the Sea". I was struck by the story of the 18th century Admiral Bing who failed to complete his mission and was executed for 'failing to engage the enemy'.
Can anyone think what we could do with a leader who has us working for the enemy instead of fighting for us?
Clue: the word 'executed' in the above paragraph :cfo
