I am surprised the area rep didn't get a slap.

However, as I don't condone violence against collaborators, I advise Bitchface and her workmates to write a petition to their branch saying they have no confidence in this area rep as he told them that they have to prep D2Ds in their own time. Get as many signatures as possible and keep copies.

At the same time, everyone needs to put in a stage 1 grievance to their line manager about being told to prep D2Ds in their own time. If you get no outcome within 5 working days, raise it as a stage 2.

You could also write an email to the business partner for your part of Royal Mail.

As a last resort, you could all resign from the union. Everyone has to abide by collective agreements whether they are in the union or not. What you get for your £150 a year is local representation, which in your case is shite.

You take D2DS home and the I/B pay you a visit your Fecked mate

D2DS are classed no different than mail if its in your home FACT

I take mine home every week for my kids to fold up for me (it's how they earn their pocket money) ready for me to chuck in the frame. Both PHG's and the DOM know all about this practice and I am far from being the only one who does it.

To be able to bear provocation is an argument of great reason, and to forgive it of a great mind.

That's 3 out of 3. :cuppa

yes lots of people do take them home..but we arnt being told that.just told to chuck in and prep on own time.
which is against the agreement, and against employment law if its complusory(which they are).
royal mail can say what i do between my contracted time ONLY.NOT ON MY OWN TIME..
your walk log flow chart says point 5.prep d2d's...after letters and flats.
the agreement says in plan english.its a principle that all d2d work should be absorbed into duty time
when you get prep tested it includes preping 20 % d2d's

yet managers around somerset tell us frequantly to do in own time..which i never have or will.
some i can tell belive whole heartedly think they are correct.(to lazy to read)
and now our area rep said to one of our guys,he must do it in our own time
this area rep also told my manager(after conduct code ,endless prep tests and eventually a walk test) that my 4 hour walk can be left as the union is seeking a 4 hrs delivery anyway
he is also of the opinion that the 3.5 hrs deliver can be 3.5hrs then your break then you can do another 3.5 hrs.

this guys a complete moron or an arse kissing twat

Your Area Rep is a Patsy for management pure and simple. Vote him out next election but for know go over his head and ask for guidance from division (the next level)

Mind you before you did that you could ask the ADR where your Van is as the 4hr deliveries will only be accepted with weight off the shoulder and with CDV deployed to them.

Has anyone got a link so I could print out the relevant bit as this comes up time and time again in our office. Half the office swear blind that they must be done in our own time because it has been drummed into them for years.

They all say ''Why do you think you get paid extra for them''.
