It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I was just watching Emmerdale, maybe I was being disrespectful to Sam after all, comparing him to a wretched, worthless, slimy, creep like Crozier.
Thoroughly ashamed of myself, I am.

Unfortunately he now will hang on. Labour will not take this risk of changing their leader with only a maximum of 5 months to a GE (Jun I think is the latest date - but May 6th is the most likely one because of local elections being held). There was a brief bit of speculation last week that we might have a February election but that looks increasingly unlikely as well.

The other factor is that front runners Johnson, Harman among them know that if they make a successful move and do oust Brown, and then loose the election, they will have blown any chance of being PM as they will be seen as a liability and probably be ousted before the next GE. They also know if the do oust Brown the electorate would not know them as well, and it would be a minor miracle if they actually did win a GE. Therefore from a purely selfish view the prospective leaders are hoping against hope that Brown will win in May and then they will make their move. But they also realise the most likely outcome is Labour Lose so badly Brown falls on his sword and they gallop to the rescue with the winner hopefully staying till the next election, or its a hung parliament and then it will get nasty with the big players trying to get the support of the Labour Party to become Leader, whilst at the same time trying to get deals with the other parties so that they can remain in power.

May could be a messy month in SW1A . :left:
