Reading between the lines it sounds as though you are pretty confident a good deal is nearing completion. I really hope so as myself and thousands of members are desperate for a more secure and stabe working life. I hope you're right about the pension link also as the company will never prosper whilst throwing so much of its profits into the pension deficit.

I certainly hope you are not implying a deal on pensions is dependant on us accepting this agreement.

Fishtank your a clever man do you really think that in the last 6 or 7 weeks before the parliment shuts down for the general election campaign that the Government is going to resolve the pension blackhole in isolation to a an agreed plan to transform the company. Now the members will still have their say via the ballot box on the agreement.

But we have precious little time to resolve the pension crisis. The timing of the unions lobby at parliment on Tuesday this week where the biggest number of mps attended for a while including Tony Loydd their man.

Cant be any more specific sorry for reasons which should be obvious but hopefully your sus it.

Well if it is going to take two whole days to explain it to the PEC - what chance the rest of us? Or is it a question of trying to get the PEC to coerce the rest of us into a dodgy agreement?

Are the managers being called in for a two day meeting - or have they already had the nod on their little soiree week before last? Why do I ask? Because we have been told to make room for two more key cabinets and a second cabinet for more PDAs in the locker just today. Vans and HCTs on the way ............................................ I think so - numbers undetermined at the mo - but the walks are already in the pipeline though not seen yet.
