BBC News at 12 noon reports that Adam Crozier is to be the new Head of ITV.
So now we'll have more comedies, farces and contoversial programmes.
It'll make us all feel at home...

ITV has announced that Royal Mail boss Adam Crozier is to become the broadcaster's new chief executive.

The announcement marks the end of ITV's long search for a replacement for Michael Grade, who said last April that he wished to give up the role.

Prior to joining the Royal Mail, Mr Crozier had been the boss of the Football Association.

Mr Crozier returned the Royal Mail to profitability, but the postal service has also been hit by strike action.

ITV said he is due to take up the chief executive position "later this year".

This muppet has achieved NOTHING at Royal Mail Group. We have returned to profitability? With 850Million pounds of it going into a pension black hole last year that has still grown from 2Billion to 7Billion pounds under his leadership? If that is considered good work by ITV they must be a bunch of useless ignorant twats. He will fit in there a treat.

ITV are on the rocks anyway! It will interesting to see how he can "turn around" a company that relies heavily on advertising revenue. Can't cut-staff to make that happen!

This is very strange timing.
You would think first announce agreement to end long running postal dispute and herald a new dawn for Royal Mail followed by much back slapping and "well dones" and then announce "now that my work is done i will be moving on".

This smells of rats and sinking ships to me.
