not read it yet but
mmmmmmmmmmm channel 4 not got much faith in their reporting but low paid immigrant workers seem to be a large part of the battle we have to keep our pay levels,no work untill cases are sorted out but even when refused they are still here living in council accomadation including b and b at a £100 per day and getting allowances, mobile phones etc,you also forgot to mention that only about a third of the people entering the country are actually on the govt radar the rest just get in and then disappear
and before you ask im not rascist just in despair for what kind of country my children are going to find when they leave school

All the above 'myths' from Channel 4, a broadcasting station set up to promote racial integration, ethnic diversity, multiculturalism, etc etc....
We can all choose which particular form of media to believe, be it TV, newspapers, etc.
Below is a paragraph from the Channel 4 remit:

"We will reflect the diversity of Britain; culturally and geographically. We will reflect the energy of our multicultural society, by representing the voices of a new generation of programme makers from the ethnic minorities. We will reflect the complexity of Britain back to itself, in the range of programmes and production companies commissioned from cities across the whole of the UK"

It was very irresponsible of the British ruling class to pillage the world of its natural resources for several centuries, but I don't think I've ever heard any BNP supporters (I can't say members since so few seem to have the bottle to actually join it) ever having a pop at the ruling class. But that's natural enough. It's a bosses party and members and supporters are bosses stooges.

I agree. The Catholic Church has a lot to answer for. Regardless of this, they still need their doctors and nurses far more than we do. It's very irresponsible of us to pillage the developing world of their most vital workers.

The vast majority of immigrants coming over are of working age, so I imagine they'll have little effect on school induction rolls. However, just like Royal Mail managers, I wouldn’t believe a single word the government or government appointed authorities say about anything.

I feel the same way about people who start sentences with things like "I'm not racist, but................"

You know the type.

So you think it's ok to loot the third world of their most precious resource?

As a socialist I don't think exploiting anyone is o.k. But then I'm not defending those who see upholding the present system as the right thing to do and then blaming some poor sod who has come here to live for the mess when it all goes wrong.
Personally, I couldn't care less what colour someone is, and make no mistake, that's what this all comes down to.

I would have thought that was obvious. My point is you`re quoting so called 'Immigration Myths' from Channel 4 as fact, this from an organisation that has it`s own biased agenda towards promoting muticulturalism, ethnic diversity, etc... and as such cannot be trusted to give a balanced view of such matters.

I doubt anyone is going to change anybodys opinion on this contentious matter, no matter how many expert opinions they cut and paste from other sources.
There are enough stories and alleged facts out there to back up both sides arguments. Just as we will all have different personal stories that back up both sides too.
My opinion wont change on the matter. For every argument in favour of immigration there are just as many counter arguments. And my opinion is mine and I'm keeping it.
And no, this isn't blinkered thinking and ignoring the facts. As I said, both sides have facts.

Do you imagine I think your views are totally balanced? Everyone has their own view on these things. Why should I believe yours as opposed to Channel 4, or anyone elses?

It doesn`t come down to colour anyway when you have many Eastern Europeans coming here. I`d also ask for your opinion IWW on the story that apparently a busload of Polish agency workers went in to Watford MC?

I think the current system is rotten to the core and needs to be replaced.

Migrant workers who come here seeking a better life can't be blamed... good luck finding it!

I don't care what colour someone is either. I've got more in common with the black lad who sits next to me on the sorting than I have with Leighton.

I think all immigration should be temporarily halted so our public services can catch up. That means whether the person is a white Aussie of British descent, a white Pole or a non-white commonwealth citizen. All my non-white friends I've talked to about this agree with me.
