Royal Mail agressive behaviour (BU07 NZW)

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

This driver approaches me in the bus lane and sits behind me rather close, you can see from the road that his headlights are making a shadow of me which is not caused unless you are very close.
He then overtakes me and tells me to 'Stay in my lane' I'm not sure when a bus lane ever became his, but cycle lanes are not mediatory and i stayed on my course and lane through this. He later threatened to knock me off my bike with his van. he will be reported to royal mail for this offensive behaviour to a road user.

This bloke obviously has a dull life, looks like all his vids are about dodgy drivers (in his eyes)
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Is it legal to film someone and publish it ( broadcast it ) without their permission, also what is the legal position of the cyclist using the bus lane when a cycle lane has been provided? I'm playing Devil's advocate here, but at the end of the day, if the cyclist bends or even breaks a few laws & subsequently another road user also bends or breaks some laws, I think he should get off his high horse!

*In edit - I've just read he has realised that at the time he was riding along the bus lane ( 6pm approx ), cyclists are NOT permitted to use it  - I'll ask him to remove the video, not least because it is self incriminatory :chuckle
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Mail delivery; those that can, do, those that can't, MANAGE!

I think they can use it any time of the day down here, same as motor bikes, thing is cant really hear what the driver says but you can hear the cyclist calling him a tosser and shouting Oi, Oi at the top of his voice as the van is pulling away.

No, he actually posted in his comments that there is a restriction on taxi's, bicycles and motorbikes using that bus lane between 4pm-7pm.....I would never have known unless he mentioned it ( I grew up in HA3, before moving to Kent 7 years ago, so I know the Smoke well enough ) - but the sound track does him no favours :d'oh! :left:
