Been told P&L will use electric vans. Appparently RM used them some years ago and, according to the manager that told me, they were "excellent"...

Well dingo said there was 10,000 vans parked in a field in Hampshire raring to go - he didn't mention electric vans.

We were told in WTL that it WILL be coming into our office, just a matter of time.

I really dont understand how it will work and where the savings will be made.

Spoke to the head mechanic from our workshop today,i said you ready for the big rush then.......he didn't have a clue what i was going on about.
They have not been briefed on anything!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Well despite what dingo says about the 10000 vans in a field - he probably means 10000 hire vans because that is what we have - not liveried vehicles at all and we have had them for 15 months - the leased vans are serviced and maintained by the leasing company, one breaks down it is replaced by another by the leasing company - so beware white man speaking with forked tongue kimosabe - that will be why your garage man kknows nothing about them - he won't be dealing with them.

Well I may have over gilded the lily a bit because it may have seemed that all the extra vehicles were leased but of course we also lost 5 driving duties so we have ended up with 8 or 9 lease hires.
