£1.20 an hour payrise is what would be required. for me to be delivering these things for free and not receiving my d2d money.

Some of the industrial estate deliveries in our office have less than ten D2D deliveries. I'd quite happily take the cash if I were those people.
Also, as a floater for many years I often missed out on D2D payments. I theory it's 20% per day but it isn't always practical.

I'm very tempted to take what they offer us because I think it is very possible they'll just change the name of the product and make us do them for free anyway.
I've been a floater for ages and never even get the chance to do 20%, at best the usual guy will offer me £20 to do them all in one day, which I offer a 'f**ck off' too!
why would he offer you £20 he will get paid for them if there done or not.....

Speaking as a driver who only does 80 odd drops on foot (about £5 / week D2D), I stand to do quite well out of a one off payment... :wave

Luckily for the majority, wouldn't vote for it on principal, even though I would benefit.

 It is my understanding that both R/M and thr Union are working towards not only removing the cap on D2D's
but doing away with the payments altogether, with possibly a small (Miniscule) pay rise to compensate.

Yes, but you will have to prep and deliver maybe as many as 600 calls x 6 d2ds for the same £1.20 as someone with 200 calls. Is that fair? Will they get 40p pay rise per hour because they are only doing a third as many as you? THOUGHT NOT!

cant base it on hourly rise as part time staff would get less than full time, if anything it would have to be a weekly payment and even then some duties have a lot more doors than others so even that would not be fair

There is no fairer way to pay for D2D than the system we have right now.
You get paid for what you deliver,it's as simple as that.
So that begs the question Why change it.
RM position is clear, more D2D equals more profit and the less they have to pay us the better.
But what about the union? D2D into workload is a good thing but it should have been so from the start.
That and lifting the cap does not mean you have to change the payment method.
But announcing a D2D supplement paid 52 weeks a year makes it sound as if they have won something when in fact we will all LOSE a lot. :hmmmm
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

It depends what else we get with a payment. A pay rise. Automated d2ds. Built into workload with delivery methods so the weight is off our shoulders. The deal doesn't sound so bad then.

btw.... 800 drops to terraced houses = 200 drops to really long driveways of the rich buggers

If both take 3.5 hours, why should one dude get 4 times the pay of the other? Assuming the d2ds come ready prepped of course, otherwise this isn't true.

Im FOR d2ds in the current format. If you deliver 600 calls you get paid 600 calls, not get shafted to deliver 6 x 600 for no extra pay or the same pay for someone delivering only 200. Hope that makes my moan clearer!
