i respect your position,and i also understand your frustration,but please don't imply we have sold the union out by
accepting RM's revisions.
i can tell you we have challenged and exhausted all avenues of the I.R. framework,yet the management have chosen
to ignore and implement change.
The best part is the branch have washed there hands of it,the div.rep has said to contact the local rep (i hadn't thought of that)
We have discussed today the option of unilaterally withdrawing from the union as an office,as we can't be an worse off.

This is where branches and divisions are to blame,why was the stuff we have read on here since the 07 deal allowed to go on,why wasn't HQ informed and if they were,why wasn't an enquiry sought.
Everyone involved are up for blame.

The 07 deal has been abused up and down the country before the ink was dry on it,why has it been left to go on for so long.

So now we have a new deal on the horizion,so those bitten before are no doubt worried shitless that they will be bitten again.

The whole saga has been a f***ing joke!

Sometimes some of you need a reality check , you really believe that the cwu wishes to sell you out with every agreement. What a load of bolloxs................

If work gets in later on saturdays, and for the life of me, I don't see why that HAS to be the way, then we must move to have saturdays off, a MON-FRI five day working week has to be an immediate goal. I suggest striking every saturday until this is achieved, I'm sure this will have the approval of the vast majority of postal workers in Britain, and if the USO can be tampered with to accomodate a 3, 4, or even, 5pm last letter, the USO can be tampered with to allow British postal workers some semblance of a normal working week, and a long-overdue feeling that their sacrifice of money lost through striking has at least achieved something beneficial.
Otherwise, the next time that RM want you and your chums marginalised, and you want us mugs to lose more than £1000 through striking, you're gonna have to feckin' whistle for it, mate.

Never mind asking what we want theres no need. Its just so damn Obvious..ask the customer.

Customer is prepared to pay a small Premium for a fast reliable service, not a 2nd rate afternoon delivery...all this does is create a huge window of oppurtunity for the competition.. We might as well just deliver it the following day...DOH!

The super sorting machines cant get us out the door in time + Machine sorted mails are strewn with miss-sorts, they cost Millions..money better spent keeping people working and contributing to the economy anyways.

Deliverty spans need to be sized so they will not see us all in a wheel chair before we retire...10mls per day in 3-1/2hrs is plenty physically.. ..4hrs plus 12 +ml deliveries..no thanks DOH!

Royal Mail was the finest delivery system in the world and was refined over 200+ years to make it what it was... The only thing thats destroying it is the greed of those at the top lining there own pockets and misinformed speculators looking for a fast buck on the stock exchange.

The Country as a whole has no industry left.

The UK has nothing left to sell.

Unless Polititions wake up we are all done.. Less people working means less Goverment income, higher taxes for the few that are working.

Workers pay Governments debts but only if we can work.

Not everyone can have a premadona job and pay to match.

No one should be earning obscene wages at the expense of others who work harder and longer than they can imagine just to feed there family and pay there way in life.
