I can't wait to see what they have managed to "uncouple" from the agreement this time - like the pension last time, the victory that resulted in the loss of pension status for 1000s of posties - probably D2Ds, something like "they wanted twenty lots a day but we managed to peg them back to 20 lots a week......................not that we've agreed to that, but we are going along with it and will continue to push our case, Oh and until it is solved there won't be any extra doshfishtank wrote:Big Daz wrote:dvbuk55
Your spot on, Dave Ward and co have all along talked about change by agreement rather than stopping change, I dont think CWU top brass have made that clear enough to the membership.
Change by agreement is fine but when you enter the negotiation phase you must at least have an idea of your,or more importantly your memberships limits.
You MUST have a line in the sand,i'm sure RM did.
I'm pretty sure the CWU did not.
It will be interesting to hear the rhetoric and "war stories" about what excesses RM really wanted and what concessions the CWU "won".

As long as you don't walk more than 3.5hrs in town or 4hrs rural, that's all you need to worry about.
4hr rural ?????? Mine is 6.30 with travel time & meal relief. and before you go on Pegasus says its well over & yes I finish on time everyday & leave mail for DOM to deliver or bring back after using the Appendix 3 of the conduct code with DOM after prep.

There's a strong rumour abroad that there won't be agreement this week and that the weather is going to be blamed for the delay. Why don't they just say that this process is going to take some considerable time because the following items cannot be agreed without further negotiation.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
