Just to let you know that a fellow member of staff (God bless 'im!) has gone out of his way to arrange a picket duty this time. My guess is the fella who crossed previously won't dare go in when there's a presence. Whether or not he decides to show up at another nearby office though?!
It's still not common knowledge yet but I think it's about to come out...I just gotta whisper in the right person's ear.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

SEVENOAKS DELIVERY OFFICE 100% TURNOUT FROM APPROX 150 STAFF . . . . . . . . . not one person even tried to cross the picket line which was well supported from 0430 onwards . . . . . only managers crossed over in the vans, and as they went the back doors were opened by the pickets to prove the special delivery mail wasn't be safeguarded as it should be, by the people who always tell us to do just that . . . . . . well done all at Sevenoaks . . . . . . . solidarity rules
Together we stand, divided we fall

Cambridge Delivery Office. Out of 258 staff, 19 worked today, two fewer than the last time. 8 were CWU members and the rest not. Our SPDOs were fairly solid too. Other offices in the branch report generally good support, with Saffron Walden having 22 on the picket line out of about 70 staff! Ely had 7 working and up to 30 pickets out of 100 staff. SG area again had mostly good support.
I'm a Postman at the Henley Road Delivery Office in Cambridge.
