Managers in Peterborough took people off pay for cutting off. The claimed the workers were in breach of their contract as they didnt do the job correctly.

I dare say we will all be faced with this soon.

Remember, the Delivery Office Manager in the unit where you work is NOT royal Mail. Treat him like a person as when you look at them, as they are explaining a situation to you, as someone whom you are imagining an axe is going through there head, then smile, nod and find things out, not just from one source but from various ones as sometimes that one source can not always be right. good luck my friend :wave

I still had to make a list of 40 specials
I'm sure for security reasons you shouldn't be carrying that many specials in a non security vechile. :no no :no no :no no
:hmmmm did'nt think of that at the time, no doubt I would've been given the 'operational reasons' bulls**t
Unless it's changed since I left (15 months ago) it was always max of 30 SDs in a van delivery.

My manager mentioned to me that he had to explain the recent rise in sickness levels and trips and falls for delivery Posties.

We had a WTL session today about AODs.
We all got a piece of paper and we were to write down how we can improve the office reaction to severe weather.

Why do they think that we should do their jobs for them, they get told what's wrong and they just ignore it of it's going to cost money :mad so they can manage on their own.
