I've been a cycle mech for 2 years and this is the first issue I've seen!!

As a Cyclist for many years, the RM bikes I've seen are a pile of cripe! They weren't maintained properly and weighed a ton.
One Dom said to me, "You're a cyclist, I want you to be the bike mechanic for our bikes." No mention of additional training, educational courses...
Luckily, after being off and returning, the bikes have vanished. I wouldn't want to get my hands dirty on the ones we once had.
