I can't wait for RM apologists to reply here and refute that it will ever happen - it might be fun to see the usual suspects squirm for once ( after all the low LMG:OPG ratio can't continue forever! )

They WILL keep their pay for a while,bit like our MTSF thing.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

It will be worth it if they have to work till 1.30pm on a freezing cold and iced slippy xmas eve instead of running out the door at bloody 10am :evil/mad

is there actually any evidence that this is happening?
if it is true and is nationwide,then it's like having the winning lottery numbers and just waiting for the draw to take place.

How much does a basic LM earn?,I was under the impression that without the robbing bonus's it's not much more than us.

How come time and time again i hear managers not getting things resolved if you have an issue?

Its the same everywhere i go, managers can't seem to get their act together and really need a kick up the backside or possibly out the door. Being a manager now looks tougher than it did say 5 years ago, and i certainly wouldn't want their job even if they offered me fifty grand.

I thought he was referring to one of my managers - a bit useless, moves like he's taken root & 10 mins after we're out on delivery, does a good impression of the rainforest & disappears

It's all very well laughing and hoping that managers get demoted but the thing is, if it's true, which jobs will they be doing? The jobs you and I are doing now!
