At my office we now have to distribute the bundles of mech. They are no longer there when we get in.

This stops people from coming in early, although some idiots still do it.
We dont have bundles just boxes which the two 5 am (official start time) OPG's are responsible for putting out on frames and as the walksorted mail is on site OPG's can just grab their box from the york if its not on the frame.

Our walksorted mail has increased and our IPS mail decreased due to automation/slightly bigger deliveries thus creating a bigger head of work being available before 6am thus encouaraging people to start early.

According to dingo mech sequenced mail isn't going to be available at DOs until around 10 a.m. and so start and finish times aren't really going to be negotiable - they are going to be determined by what time you get your mail, which is presumably roughly the same time nationally - and so in order to have an extended delivery span, commencing at some time after 10 a.m. you could actually be delivering in the dark in winter.

That is the problem at the moment start times at my D.O are based on artifical one size fits every D.O policy from RM and not the reality of mail levels at 5am/5.30am.
