Why would they do that? The old expression "you don't keep a dog and bark yourself" comes to mind.

Then again, as most of them are ex-postie anyway, they'd probably say they'd done their share of it in the past, so what's there to prove?
I doubt very much that the likes of Crozier, Tolhurst, Higson, are ex- anything worthwhile, at DIM level on the other hand I'd say it's more than fair to expect them to lead by example rather than through pig ignorance and diktat.

Senior management, including Old Street, are more likely than us to live in "nice" villages as they can afford the property there. These "nice" villages are more likely to be accessed by ungritted roads. If the option to work from home is removed, these managers will be forced to make the risky journey to work in the same way that we are. There are more of us but the managers' journey is riskier. The odds are probably about even on who will die first, a manager or a worker.

Management should not expect us to take risks that they are not prepared to take.

Our union should not have allowed them this loophole of working from home. :no no

How many of them can afford 4X4s with traction control, and anti slip & DSG & all the whistles and bells for crash prevention? I've got an R reg Omega that runs on LPG....I can't afford to replace two bald tyres, let alone replace the cat or find out the the reason why it's using more oil than it should.......I always have bangers & can barely afford to keep them running, I'd like to afford something less tired and worn, but I'm only a piece of crap on Crozier's shoe - a piece of crap that helps him fill his pockets [/rant]
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Mail delivery; those that can, do, those that can't, MANAGE!

Further,A good Manager will never ask Staff todo something he wont do.
Marks and Spencers company policy used to be ,unsure about now at certain times senior Managers should help out on the floor ,wich they did.
If the DOMS,AREA MANAGERS,and the Planning Managers and all the other hangers on went out delivering their would be massive changes.
Got back the other day Dim and hangers on all in nice warm office drinking coffe.
