The managing director of the Post Office is to retire in May after more than four years in the job, the Royal Mail has announced.
Alan Cook, whose successor has yet to be announced, said: "I'm delighted to have been given the opportunity over the past four years to help build a sustainable future for Post Office Ltd and I'm honoured to have worked for an organisation which plays such an important role every day in communities around the UK."
The Royal Mail said that, under Mr Cook's leadership, the Post Office had become one of the fastest growing providers of financial services in the UK, with more than 2.2 million customers, and had driven forward new business opportunities for branches including the introduction of new biometric recognition technology.

I'd like to place on record my sincerest wishes for Cook, that the money he's been given by this treacherous government, to help destroy a great public service, chokes him, and chokes him very soon.

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.
