Postal workers will take part in a further three days of strike action, union bosses have announced.
Thousands of members of the region's Commercial Workers Union (CWU) will strike in the next seven days if Royal Mail fails to meet a deal with them over pay and jobs.
Around 800 postmen who are members of the CWU Bolton and Bury branch will take action from 7pm tomorrow to 7pm on Friday.

More than 20 counter staff at Bolton's Deansgate post office are expected to strike on Monday morning and the following Thursday afternoon, July 19.
The CWU has asked Royal Mail bosses to enter into fresh negotiations following strike action last month. The company claims it has no more money to improve on a 2.5 per cent pay offer which was rejected by the union.

strike coverage
we never get a mention in this town ( macclesfield) from our local paper, and the postal service doesn't seem to matter! i also feel very let down by the union at a national level. you only see the royal mail side of things in the media! we are doing our best locally, but do the hierachy of our union really care? you will boys if you lose this strike! despite this i will be on the picket line at 4am friday. regards dongash (one of the 77%) macclesfield sk :lfo :cfo :lfo :lfo :cfo :lfo :cfo
