We don't get a misort run at 8.30 its the same size as we get at 7, were all full time and all do ips so at xmas we have no extra people to do ips or prep deliverys and we send a man in to do the missort run.

Re: Don't worry lads
We don't have 'extra' staff on IPS at Xmas, just those of us that normally prep PT walks. You have all yours on IPS all the time. Most of us have to throw PT walks off instead, leaving 4 or 5 people to sort IPS for 50+ walks - that's why we're on IPS for 2hrs+ most days.themaze617 wrote:We don't get a misort run at 8.30 its the same size as we get at 7, were all full time and all do ips so at xmas we have no extra people to do ips or prep deliverys and we send a man in to do the missort run.
At Xmas we don't have to prep PT walks so we all go on IPS, there are no 'extra' staff.

Onaflyer why not name your office? Then your claims can be verified..I have done 24 years in this job and have one of the better rounds in my office.Even 20 years ago after xmas it was never that light.Every day this week I have had a full HCT and 2 extra bags dropped to me.How you can get the amount you say is beyond the understanding of any postman on a normal delivery. You may have it easy but you must be due a shock soon.
Slider tool. Lol.

3 to knock on doors with, I don't count the smaller ones that can fit through letterboxes. As i've said in plenty of posts on here, this Xmas packets have been by far the worst ever, but Xmas Eve I had s*d all.krussel wrote:No dont do this, and its not fair to ask eitherantcpfc wrote:Onaflyer why not name your office? HAPPY NEW YEAR
Obviously i'm not going to name the office. Like i've said many times though, why would I lie? It's not as if I joined this forum yesterday and am on a wind up. Tuesday this week was ridiculously light, I had 25kg for my entire walk.antcpfc wrote:Onaflyer why not name your office? One of our guys went to another office last week to do half a walk on OT, he got there at 11.30am after doing his own walk and the guys there were only just tying up and couldn't believe he'd finished. When he came in the next day he said the half a walk he did had no more drops than ours, but the amount of mail meant it took him as long to do half of that walk as it does to do all his own.
Nearly all the walks in our office get a similar amount of mail - usually between 2 and 4 perstorps of walksort and then whatever comes off IPS, only the commercials are heavier for obvious reasons.
As for 'due a shock' - well no, nothing would come as a shock to me as I read on this forum what is happening! There is one thing though that I have mentioned - mail volumes. As for as I know there is no provision for mail volumes in Pegasus or any other method of calculating walks, and it seems obvious to me that's the difference between offices and the reason for the disparities in walk lengths.
Pegasus puts my walk at 3.25, when it doesn't take that long. It puts walks in other offices at the same walk time yet they can't be done - so what's the difference? It has to be mail volumes.

He is right though I personally know of cases in Bristol, and other places, where members were suspended. As a Moderator I have been asked, probably between 10 and 20 times, to remove whole accounts, change names or delete all posts of members who have been identified by Managers.gj1023 wrote:Oh er Kursell I sit corrected , I still have my official act form I signed in 1975 , lolKrussell wrote: No its best to stay under cover on here.![]()
