We don't have to worry about that.It seems every thieving sod for miles around is employed at the Bathgate outhouse.
I bet the figures for burglaries in Scotland are at an all time low.

We had one of those revolving door assistant managers in full clown make-up going round with a clip board counting said light bulbs today. Stopping us whilst mid throw-in, during the heaviest period of the year, asking how we are getting on with them and when they'd be going out ?

This, plus some nerd in a suit, whose occupying the back office and dragging people in to discuss their routes so he can update the A+ , was just the icing on the cake til Ronald McDonald's partner in crime, Yucko, rolled a few Yorks of Sky magazines in for us all to sort and then immediately put under our desks.

Christmas must be a new concept within the circles of management of Royal Mail. No decorations, no Christmas arrangements with regards to sorting , prep and on the road times and they wonder why moral is so low in such a demanding job and most Posties stress out when when struggling on the icy roads like Bolivian Pack Mules are stopped by some twat who invariably laughs as if you've never heard these immortal lines ever in your life when they say such shite as: " Is it cold enough for you Postie, bet your busy this time of year ..oooohhh your late aren't ya Postie!!".

Have we all cleared these then?

I left 11 behind for the cover to do on tuesday when I'm off :D I had 50 in total, took 20 out yesterday and couldn't get rid of half of them so they're sat on my frame. We're not allowed to slip them :no no and I can't doorstep houses on busy streets with no drives. So tough titties TNT. :nana

Overheard in the office

"Why are we delivering light bulbs at this time of the Year - It's Christmas ?"

"cos they've run out of stars of Bethlehem - get on with it" was the reply

made me smile anyway :Very Happy

From a H+S perspective that sounds highly inadvisable.(though I have heard worse)
