Tip for the day

Post by rhino49 »

Give up a few beers one evening at a pub full of non believers in exchange for a few hours of fun and frivolity on a picket line full of like minded comical mates with a common goal and hearts full of determination to see it through.
Nothing is as uplifting as the company of heroes.
Look on the strike days as just another price or mortgage increase albeit a large one and make allowances where you can to adjust to it - in the long term it will be just as good an investment.

Keep the faith boys and girls - the sun shines on the righteous.

Quite right brother! And we have a long history of heroes to look back on. strike breakers have their Quislings, Lavalle's, Iscariots. Bosses have Hitler, Franco, Mussolini and the scum of the ages.
We've got people like these!

And I for one won't be letting down their memory.

Right just a little advice for anyone who's new to this site . . . . L TOMMO has a habit of saying exactly what he thinks and doesn't tend to sugar coat it, when he says SITE NUTTER he says it with authority, BUT, truth is he usually only rants about the same things we're all thinking . . . . he's got a point about these people who've suddenly appeared on here all saying the same, corporate, line. . . . . . I'm not stopping anyone saying what they really think but at least drop the Royal Mail propoganda leaflets and decide for yourself what you really want to believe.

It's good we should have different views on here but these posts seem to be increasingly like "sound bites" from the Royal Mail press releases or leaflets, if you're genuine then keep posting and keep an open mind with the answers you get. . . . if not, just bugger off.

:Applause :Applause :Applause GOOD LUCK ON FRIDAY, LETS GO FOR 100% :Applause :Applause :Applause

How many people will still be striking come christmas, get a grip no one will be able to afford it. Nice idea but it will never happen.

To add I am in work on friday I cannot loose another days wage when we are already on £50 less a week.

More money than sense comes to mind, but you probably don't care about staff on a lot less than you.

I'll be out as long as it takes . . . . . that's what workmates do for each other . . . . . when you get friends as colleagues you'll understand . . . . your attitude is defeatist and selfish. . . . . :no no

I certainly don't care about pr**s like you trying to undermine the campaign. The reason we're doing this is to get better pay and conditions. If your head wasn't up the bosses arse, you might see that.

Well, let's hope that when we get our settlement by giving up so much, that you will be kept on at least £50 a week less to reflect your contribution, or that the "new "technology replaces you completely - after all, every piece of information you input makes your future less secure - we may not even need you by christmas. Do you think for a moment that anyone in our situation can afford to lose 20% or more of a weeks wage without some pain or sacrifice ??? Get real and read what we have done on saturday morning - my office will report a 100% turn out again including 25 hour and 3 day staff - WE BELIEVE

May i quietly add the term SITE NUTTER wasnt added to my name by me... It was kindly added by POSTMAN.. I Dont mind this as it is said in jest and Me and POSTMAN have talked about this and asked if he could take it down as i cant.... I know how it was ment and i understand it and take no offence... Billypants mate nor do i take offence from you bringing this up... Your opinion is your right as i put up enough opinions of my own and feel its only fair what u say.... GIVE AND TAKE IS MY MOTTO...
But if i felt anyone who finds this funny or took the piss then i would take this very personal and would make my feelings heard as Billy said... I dont bullshite or cover up because i dont need to.. Un like the RM propaganda machine workers tha peddle big al's dirty work for a pat on the head and blood money as it should be called... The bonus is just that..... On the blood and sweat of WORKERS. The same workers that Big Al says are underworked and overpaid.... THIS IN ITS SELF IS ENOUGH FOR ME TO STRIKE UNTIL THEY ARE GONE FROM OUR PLACE OF WORK....

Thanks again Billy for your comments I agree that if anybody is only on this site to stir the shite the FECK OFF!!! GO PLAY ON ANOTHER SITE WHERE THEY MIGHT SUFFER YOUR RM BRAINWASHING...

I must admit mdec101 I did think you had more bottle, you might earn less than opg's but how do you think this will be rectified if you give in so easily.Incidentally the last national strike was settled because most posties stuck it out despite losing two days pay some weeks. Yes I have transferred from a MC and every chance I get I bang on about bringing my fellow workers pay into line with my pay. :lfo :cfo

MDEC101 Do you think that any of us can afford to go on strike, what f***ing planet do you come off, your worried about losing a days pay, if we lose this dispute then how does no pay at all sound, do you think your job is safer than ours, b***ocks, its people like you that drag these disputes out, bosses use you to undermine what we are trying to protect, but i bet you will take any benefits we gain from this dispute, you ask who will still be on strike at christmas IWW Fellow Workers right, ME, ive gone on strike in the past and now with only one wage coming in, but ide rather have no money at all than lose my principles, I said after yesterday i wasnt going to lose my temper and be calm, thanks thats gone out the window...

Its hard to see why Leighton would be worried. He has the government and all the papers except the Mirror and Morning Star on his side. John Hutton told the CWU this week they they must sign up to Royal Mails plans. Ward is desperate and in a corner and it is becoming more and more obvious that the union doesnt have any idea how to get out of the mess its now in
