another nightmare,out 1030,in 1600 2hrs on the docket,lino walking around with a big smile on his beak,3 yorks full of Sky mags for tomorra,merry friggin Xmas

Very dodgy conditions today put the shoe chains on, not brilliant bit better than nothing, some of the pavements are beyond a joke, nearly went ass over tit several times but managed to stay on me feet, theres always tommorow to look forward to,

Got out today at 10:30, usually 8:50! Had to bike out coz manager said roads were clear. Nearly fell off about 50 times. Got done at 2:45, usually 12:00 ! My estate is closed off so its like an ice rink, and the youngest person who lives there is about 75 so you can imagine the cards !

Last year I got about £90 in tips, this year fuckall

It's certainly been tough out there but we haven't had any arguments about overtime in these conditions and the Lineo had us all to the front of the office this morning to thank us for struggling on through the ice and snow and said she was so proud of us for what we had got done - and we all got hot bacon and sausage barmcakes before we went out. Customers appreciated it too, quite a few offered hot drinks and praised us for making the effort - makes you feel a bit special

However, even a School Kid mentioned he was surprised we were out delivering yesterday - made my day.

Yet another nightmare today, so much so that I had to leave about 3 hours work behind and even then I finished 3 hours late In all the time I've worked for RM, I have never experienced a Christmas that has been both really heavy and really badly organised. I suppose it'll be worse next year

Delivering parcels in the Cumbrian snow....didn't get stuck, but had a few tricky moments but being the legend that I am I got through and even worked through my break to get them all done, even though I told my DOM I wouldn't work over my time....bigger fool me I guess, but anyway I booked an hour and the good people got their xmas presents

Jeezo where do you start, Went in today 15 miles on untreated roads 5pkt bags 7 trays of cards and dsa, Mail late arriving 1130 out office 1230 3 bags on a golf trolley, as much good as t@ts on fish walk starts on a hill a real get of a hill, Golf trolly launched into field will get it 2 moro if can be arsed.
Finnished 1630 all clear roll on 2moro cant wait to get shat on again.

Well my day was ok , went into work with another sick note from Doc . Been off 3 months while Atos decide what to with me , still nothing, note runs out 25th Dec . So back to Doc and guess what another 3 months off , maybe they will get their act together now. Manager said sorry for not ringing me every week to see how I was , after I said I had one call from him in 3 months and that was only cos Atos had contacted him about not getting paperwork from my Doc.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, all busy. Not really dying down enough for my liking considering how close to xmas it is. Heavy snow on the ground for our area, must be 35 years since we had it this bad, back when I was a school kid. Tuesday took 6 hours to complete with a 17.30 finish. Off today, so started to holiday early with a few pints with my dad last night. Just like to say a very happy xmas to you all, you deserve it after all the hard work. Put your feet up and have a good rest and a few drinks.

fairly quiet day mail wise, parcels were light, but loads of specials. Today was made much slower by the bad conditions - 4 or 5 rural walks not going out at all due to safety issues and we then had people doubling up on town rounds to get them done - 2 of us did my round and took us 2 hours dead to do a normally 3.5 hour walk and finished for just after 11. Happy days!

Finished at 1.15 and it is ok but it still not light enough for christmas eve. But who care as I finished for 11 days

Just got in now pavements a total nightmare solid ice ive never seen it this bad over christmas. Had i nice pep talk from our dom before we went out, which was nice Got back to office at 2.20pm only to find he went home at 10am Nice of him to check we all got around safely

Never mind somehow us Posties have pulled it off again

The day was ok for us a few ppl off sick and stuff but lets look forward to the new year

not bad today,bloody cold tho,got a nice talk from Der Fuhrer,actually congratulated us on clearing the pkts as they came in over the past 3 weeks,645 houses,£25 in tips,£20 of that was from posties in my own office & £5 from an old fella that i speak to daily,miserable bunch of so & so's...........but heh its Xmas,have a good one boys & girls

Went out at 8 with a york and half of parcels for 2 convey drivers, done by 12 We also had the speech off the DOM who congratulated us for our efforts in the past couple of weeks, what about the other 50 Glad I finished early as I had'nt bought any pressies or food for xmas I'm now looking forward to 10 days off
