I walk round. I take my break on the end as 90% of posties do and add it onto my finish time, what difference does it make?AnotherLimey wrote:Ok have read this again and now it makes sense, you call yourself OnAFlyer, you by your name run around your delivery finish your round and lapse to get home early, I my friend work my hours, I take my break and carry everything out by the book, You? well you by your actions are making everyones life difficult, think about it for a while and ask yourself who really is the fool.
When are you special cases who keep calling me a wind up merchant going to realise that every office is different, there are so many local agreements thanks to the idiots at CWU HQ that the workloads are completely different from one office to another. Thank the brilliant union for that - if we had national agreements on everything this wouldn't happen.
I walked around today in snow and ice and was finished for 10.35am. I'm suppose you think that's a wind up as well - nope, it's the truth. I can't remember the last time I finished past 12pm, and neither do most others in my office. There are no cut offs, no mail left, no yorks of packets anywhere. Believe what you want, I have no reason whatsoever to lie.
There was absolutely bugger all on today, I had 5 bundles for my entire walk - 600 houses.
Like I said, blame the CWU if you're doing 10 hours a day and my office isn't.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

When you say 5 bundles do you mean just 5 mech type bundles.
Our guys went out today with anything from 7-12 bags each. When i finished at 3.25pm some were still out. The only way you could finish before 11am is you are a firms driver and then you most likley will have parcels these days.
The 10.35 am christmas finishes was at least ten years ago and everyone on here knows that. With 600 calls and christmas packets i cant see you taking less than 3 hours (more like 4) to get around which means you would have needed to be out by 7.30am yesterday
I am sorry OnAflyer, it may be just me, but i simply cannot see how it is true

I couldn't care less whether it's true or not,

Re: Don't worry lads
i can believe him finishing earlier than most, but 10:30am is stretching it a bit, I met a colleague going back at around 12 noon, i still had another 3 hrs minimum, it's packets, recorded and specials which make a lot of the difference, I had 9 specials alone, recordeds coming out of my ears, but there is a lot of disparity in walks in our office some are back well before others even on really heavy days.
Can someone explain in English what lapsing actually is, I've never heard the term in my office
