ONE DAY STRIKES NO GOOD
I'm sorry to say this but these one day strikes are a waste of time and effort.
The two A's are not going too give in, they don't give two sh***s about us, the workers,
and the public, the customers. We lose a days pay, they make interest on it, too add too their
big fat bonuses next year! And then, get the mail delivered for next too nothing, because
they just stagger it out over the following few days when we go back in.
I CALL FOR THE UNION TOO BALLOT US, FOR ALL OUT ACTION!!!!!

seems a lot of people are not in favour of 1 dayers. how about a solid week of working by the book. that is do the job exactly how rm say it should be done. sort to the speed they say we should and and half the mail would never get sorted. make sure you trail over to the scales with every bag. how long would that take. take your allowed break before going on delivery. and make sure you finish dead on time. how much mail would actually get delivered ? the public would then see how badly managed rm really is and it wouldn't cost us a penny.

Well said Postie28.
There is no point in 1 day strikes, as pointed out many times on here, unless it is followed by work to rule. They just get us to take all the backlog over the next few days and it doesn't cost them a penny. Take your meal break, don't come in early, weigh your bags, finish on time. As Postie28 says, a week of this will see results.

There is only one way to get this dispute sorted.... all out full on everyone out.
I am losing the will to live with these one days lets show them we mean business.
And for all those whinging about money is it not better to get it sorted rather than drag it on?
It looks like we are going to ballot locally over later starts etc so why not just get out until its done and dusted?

ONE DAY STRIKES NO GOOD?
I COULDN'T AGREE MORE,HOW MANY TIMES MUST WE GO IN FOR TALKS WITH ROYAL MAIL ONLY TO BE TOLD THE SAME OLD RUBBISH.WE'VE GIVEN THEM ENOUGH CHANCES BY US REMAINING REASONABLE.NOW IS THE TIME TO GET STUCK IN,THEY'RE TAKING THE MICKEY OUT OF US.THE BEST IDEA WAS ON HERE A WEEK OR SO AGO-REGIONAL STRIKES-10 REGIONS,TWO REGIONS A DAY FOR A WEEK,THAT COVERS THE WHOLE COUNTRY AND YOU ONLY LOSE A DAYS PAY.FOLLOW THIS UP THE WEEK AFTER WITH A FRIDAY FOLLOWED BY A MONDAY.LET'S SHOW ROYAL MAIL WE MEAN BUSINESS AND STOP THE CWU BEING SO NICE TO THEM,ITS TIME TO GET HARD!

Or, Friday Mail Centres - Saturday D0`s/ Then Next Week Monday Mail Centres - Tuesday DO`s/ Then the work to 318s (as sparky above) for the rest of the week. And, as an after thought, 1ST two weeks the North - 2ND two weeks the South.johnnypick wrote:Relax lads we will up the ante,i to agree 1 days not enough ,all out yes hit them hard,BUT will the membership support an all out?Thats the 64 million dollar question,me im not so sure they would,i still think this will go on for a while yet but our next step must be something like a Saturday-Monday followed by work to 318s.Its all about tactics and make sure we get things right.
This way we lose pay only one day per week, but we have a (8 day?) rolling strike, any offer`s?

work to rule
we are left with the same old problem.
work to rule is the way to go especially after one dayers.
But its getting them stubborn run around idiots to comply, its like banging yer head against a wall,
I keep on to them but they want change their selfish ways.
Years ago with the old boys it would have been no problem.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

FECK SAKE!!!!!stubaby wrote:We cannot work to rule.
The ballot paper was not worded legally correctly that allows us to work to rule as part of ths dispute.
We would need another ballot for that.
Its been challenged by RM and they were found in favour.
Sorry but its been said on here many times... And the line POSTMAN PUT UP IS THE WAY TO GO ON...
ITS THE 318.................... Simple and effective.. RM made the rules.. RM will rue the day that they did, IF we work to the 318 and nothing else....
This doesnt have to be a spoken word from CWU HQ .. Just amongst ourselves and our reps in any meeting and time we can chat with out a screws ears in listening distance.... Working to rule,,, IS A NON STARTER DUE TO THE BALLOT AND.... ITS ILLEGAL THANKS TO THATCHER........... AND LABOUR NOT REPELING THE ANTI UNION LAWS THAT WE BACK THEM TO DO...... CHEERS Billy Hayes......
