No offense taken :Very Happy And I'd say the issues are both the figures and the arrival times. All I can tell you is that my office has no unusual factors ,nothing out of the ordinary ,just a typical mid sized DO in a typical town and the figures quoted bear no relation to what we experience.
For 60% on the first wave substitute 25-30% ;
For 18% requiring IPS substitute 30%.
Hope that helps. For clarification this is a typical DO operating as a satellite for a feeder WSM equipped DO (as most will be in future)
Can't stress enough that the amount of IPS has increased after the introduction of sequencing tech. and more than negates the prep time saving
Take it or leave it folks ,but you will all see for yourselves soon enough,so I did warn you
Bye

town deliveries will be 1, full timer and 1, 30 hr contract van share, they will have 3 deliveries and packets between them, full timer will do ips and dual prep till part timer comes in and helps finish tie up and out the door with 4,1/2 delivery span all rubber stamped by CWU who will give the "well we protected full time jobs " bullshit,

An ex-marine in his 30s is one thing, but a liverpudlian in his 50s would of been even better.
No wonder Royal mail didn't mind,it gave a glimpse of their new recruitment policy...

Ive just put this up on another thread so im being lazy and copy/paste this time around

This is what was said to me and my opo today by a very reliable source that come sometime in Jan park/loop for walks over a mile away from D/O for walks closer to home motorised HCTS delivery span 4.30-5.00 .You do all the packets for 2.5 walks all regs possibly reverting back to two deliveries for offices that want to, doing mail in the morning packets in the afternoon.

As i said to him your joking the Union arnt going to back this one and he seemed to be taken aback by my response and i will stick by my original response this is not the way forward for us 5.0 hr delivery come on get in the real world FFS if this does happen i will feel very let down by the CWU hierachy this is not a good deal for anyone.

So if your lucky enough to have a van at least you can have a P*SS in the back if you have a HCT start taking up yoga so you can stuff yourself into it and contort your body in away that you can have a P*SS .

I Think RM/CWU will be very clever with this one.
No national agreement on max delivery span.
All delivery spans subject to Local Agreement. :cuppa

5hr delivery span? I can just about manage the 3.5, still, bring it on, I can only go so far trying to get pint into a quart pint pot. :Very Happy

I thought an independent assessment of our workload was one of the aims of the strike action.Surely now is the time to demand it.

we had a wtl today saying we will be one of the offices starting WSM in April and th dim saying we will have two starting times 7am and 9-10am, I did mention that the figure's don't add up , the dim said that we would have say IE duties (walks) 1-20 start at 7am and the rest later,

I personally think WSM comes in and then we look at changing duties , as it seems RM always goes for a bigger cut then realises it's not working too late then if duties times have been changed and some poor sod at the bottom of seniority gets a later start, I.m near the top but I like to be fair JMHO

Area rep is coming in friday to chat to us, also dim said as we are unique in where our area is we are not likely to do Van sharing, but we will see

BTW slipped over on ice this morning what with the back injury i will be lucky to make April lol

maximise fulltime working by fulfilling daily hours with no set delivery span and using park and loop to accomodate growth in packets. no set long and short pattern but working day dictated by daily mail volumes ie 70 hour fortnights with the shorter working week. monthly pay and d2d unlimited with a supplemental payment.

Why must we have this constant speculating why won't anyone actually tell us what is going on behind those closed doors. If we knew one way or another which way they are thinking of going then we could at least start to gauge the true feeling among the members. Or is it that they are going to sell us so far down the river they don't want us to know how bad it's going to be????? Some information would be nice - like we've secured D2D and 35 hr week but we're still negotiating the delivery spans........
