Re: Maximum packet sizes?
I got called the best driver in the office today
from one of my colleagues who being on nights last night prepped my walk as a thank you.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Maximum packet sizes?
Our n/a packets are left in the pouch boxes over night, which in my opinion is a good system. It saves the foot man from trekking to the nearest PO, which lets face it, are getting few and far between these days. It also cuts out the transfer from PO to Mail Centre to Delivery Office. The amount of items that used to go missing between the PO and MC was incredible. But this way, we collect any slipped packets on our way round with the bags and return them to the office at the end of the shift.
The only time this system falls down is when the pouch boxes aren't used for bags - when the postman uses his own car. If the boxes aren't used, I check them periodically anyway, although most will drop me a text to tell me if they've left something in a box they don't drop a bag in.
