Industrial landlord Segro has agreed a short-term letting at Heywood Distribution Park with Royal Mail to help accommodate the company's Christmas rush.

Royal Mail has taken a 31,160 sq ft unit on a three-month basis. The deal mirrors a similar agreement last year, which saw the company take extra space at the Rochdale park.

Jane Leedham, letting manager at Segro, said: "The deal demonstrates how important flexibility is in the market. The Royal Mail has historically asked Segro to help accommodate the extra demand around the festive season, and we are happy that we can once again help them with this requirement."

King Sturge and Savills are joint letting agents on Heywood.
