Jimmy your wifes on 40k a year stop your fecking moaning get off your high horse and stop living beyond your means. Do you chose to work your meal relief YES you do which enables you to pick your child up at 12.30 do you chose to come in at 05.30 instead of 06.15 yes you do .

Why dont you pay an extra hour nursery fee you annual income including your wifes must be nearly 50k plus .

You havnt got it bad my friend my partner is a nurse and doesnt even bring home £1500 a month when i saw what your wife brought home my opinion changed about your thread what a joke and you think coming on here and declaring those facts was going to get you support from us on here when in fact many of us are in a far worse situation than you. Sorry to sound harsh my friend but when you have the income you have coming into one household and you come on here crying it can only be that you are living beyond your means.

Happy xmas anyway Jim

Where did you find the time to write that essay then!? LOL

Now that's why I don't want any kids just yet - I love my "me" time. Our lass doesn't come home till 6.30 pm or if she's doing her PT job after work then 8 pm.

I have all afternoon to have a kip, muck about on the net, play golf, do a bit of house work, make tea...life of bloody riley and don't I know it! :nana

However when we do have kid[s] oh how that'll change and you've just reminded me! :d'oh!

"I basically never stop from when I get up until I get home with the kid about 130. Then ive got her all day until bedtime at 830, in the meantime I do the ironing, cooking everyones teas, and the washing up, bath the kid, look after the dogs, then I have a bath, few cans and then go bed myself. Barely see my wife anymore as she starts work 730 and gets home at 7pm, needs to do her schoolwork (shes a teacher ) from 7 till maybe 830, by which time im getting ready to go to bed !!"

"shes always last out when school shuts @ 6 abd the caretaker has to chuck her out coz shes planning next days lessons and all that guff. Then after that she has to pick the kids up from her mums on the way home"

Make yer mind up kidda.

You wanna try havinng two teenagers, on half that a month, I'm Part time 28hrs, and my wife barely makes £1000 a month.

We shop at Lidl, have an allotment, wear warm clothes instead of turning the heating up, and as a whole we'll be lucky if we spend a total of £300 on christmas.

First thing to go has to be £15 a week on beer, get yoruself a home brew, works out at 5p a pint, and when you get good at it, it tastes a whole lot better.

Health problems are not to be laughed at, I am a widow with an 8 and a 10 year old, trying to fit the hours that are needed over christmas, having to rely on family to help out with childcare and having to work days off to afford christmas this year, arthritis in my back, diabetes and a son with adhd, hey merry christmas all, and stop moaning, be grateful you have a job, if your not happy, well do something about it!!!

Well done for mentioning the testicular cancer. Too many men are dying simply through ignorance and/or embarrassment. We need more people to speak up to make this quiet killer a thing of the past.Early diagnosis is always better, so we all need to know what to look for, how to look for it and not be ashamed to seek medical advice if we think something is wrong.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
