lets start a record thread,who has witnessed r/mail bullying

There is bullying and harassment going off at local level and at times nothing is done about it. If I was being bullying or harassed and nothing was being done about it, I would take the day off work and pay a vist to RM headquarters to speak to someone about it, the local managers do not like this. What posties do not realise if bullying and harassment is going off it is probably kept at a local level (and is swept under the carpet depending on who is doing the bullying and harassing). Posties need to inform RM headquarters (Head of Diversity) because they might not be aware of the bullying and harassment within your office.

agreed mailsort ,can you imagine the pile of paperwork at diversity hq if every1 who has been bullied wrote a letter to them ,i think a high % of cases just get swept under the carpet

ive been hassled for years by these idiots, and now, i get hassle for doing the job the way they want ne to do it.
6 15 start, not a minute earlier, do d to d`s for 15 mins, then ips, sort my frame from 08 15 to 0834 then break to 9am, back prepping,then duds redirections and put d to d`s in frame.
Cut off every single day for 6 months and my boss is concerned about my workrate/prep rate etc.
Arguments and hassle every day of the week, ive waited near 5 months to have my walk tested, but bugger all.
Sore head ,thumpin, every day, hate going in to work, and my eyes and head feel they are gonna burst.

Im out to bang on 2pm every day, while some folk are home by 12 30, and guess whos the problem?
Im at the stage now that i feel like going off long term sick, and staying off til im givenn the boot.
21 years unblemished i have and now its all getting too much, with nowhere to turn, even now, at this time of day, im taking tablets for a thumpin headache.

Oh, i also dont get offered nightshift on overtime because i dont clear my delivery any days, which is about 1 hour longer than the 3 30 span.
Well pissed off i am.

Witnessed and experienced b/h many times. Usually from the same line manager. And then he has the temerity to twist things round and say it's all our fault.

if you do the job on there terms then they wont say anything.

come in early, use your car, dont book o/t, run around like a fool, take short cuts, dont take your breaks etc.

the ones who do the job according to the book get shafted.

You know the worst side of this bullying is the smugness of these managers it really gets up my nose,i really hope that one day they have a massive pay back and that all crap they have given all the staff that work in Royal Mail may it shower down upon their heads until they cant stand up anymore because they dont know how much hurt they have caused these people.

Many years ago (about 6/7) there was an area manager in our area (sk) who was a bully. At the time managers under him all complained about this vile man and had to give statements to an outside "independent" organisation. they all had to make statements about this persons antics. It seemed to do the job, as he was sacked. my god how times have changed!!!! there are like minded bullies who make this man seem like a saint!!!! Don't try and kid us royal mail.......... Diversity, respect, don't tolerate bullying/ harassment, etc etc etc. All words which you pay lip service to.lets have the cards on the table, you just want rid of the present (full-time ) work force and replace them with minimum wage part- time staff, and there are no levels which you won't stoop to, to achieve this.

Well bugger me, the exact thing happend to me last week.
I have been doing my job to the letter, and cut of fairly regularly, a few days ago i was hauled up before the Dim and asked why i was the only
the only one to cut.I informed him it was because i was one of only a few in our office that have a spine.
i also told him his predecessor tested my walk and prep,and it went over by 45 minutes. alterations to my walk were recomended, but were never acted upon.
He then had the gall to say that perhaps i am not good enough to do the job
24 f..king years iv'e done this job,and that chinless arse has the front to question my abilities as a postie.
Same as you Shimmy, i asked for another test, and he refused. Told him it was typical RM, if you don't like the facts bury your'e head in the sand.
This really has to be the worst bunch of talentless wa.kers ever to walk the earth.

Bullying is rife in place, the usual unrealistic workload and work rates, we've had managers physically assaulting people and nothing is done about it.

Yep and bullying goes on big time at my office! Definitly towards the part time staff and the newer posties mainly. There has been posties off with stress and everything cos of it. I had a face to face to face confrontation with my DOM two weeks ago and he actually himself suggested I put a grievence in against him so I said "ok can you get me one of the grievence sheets then" he said ok, but guess what I am still waiting for it lol the pussy him
