Shafted?

As far as I can recall the CWU membership has a tradition of voting yes to national agreements that have occured this century?

Why would London get a special deal? Surley the section of the NATIONAL interim agreement that says ACAS can help locally as well as nationally and London are utlisng that part of the NATIONAL agreement does not means that they will not be part of whatever national agreements (subject to us voting yes) we end up with.

The whole idea that we will have a agreement thats say this will not apply to London is the most absurd thing anyone can come up with. :d'oh! :arrrghhh

Sheer paranoia!!!!!

London weighting but i understand the reasons behind that as it is expensive in london but anything other than a full and inclusive agreement is not welcomed by those who have stood shoulder to shoulder with our fellow workers!.

Are we now saying that divsional reps cant make agreements for their patch as it might mean something ever so slightly different from another area?

Are we saying we want every aspect, every teeny weeny inny little detail to be the same in each D.O/MC/RDC?

Please enlighten me comrades.

Is that why we are in this mess now for royalmail will cherry pick what is best for them and their bonuses while other areas think they are safe only too have it imposed upon them after other areas have surrendered that which is being fought tooth and nail in an adjacent area or far away for unions are strength through unity not through division nor area or branch!.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Forgive my ignorance but i dont understand how this idea that London might not be covered by the final outcome of national talks can even come into peoples heads or take the concept so seriously. Its totally

So will London have a different length working week or meal relief, will they not have automated mail whilst the rest of us do? Will they stick to 3 doors to doors whilst the rest of have unlimited?

Of course bloddy not !!!!!

In terms of bonus, we should have one straightforward NATIONAL scheme, in fact lets just have decent basic pay and work hard so the money is there for annual payrises.

I never said it did but unity does and separate agreements do have an impact even though london weighting is justified that a side national agreements are the only way to protect london and everyone else for royalmail will only look too impose one saveing in not one area but for all areas!.

Well here in London we have been asked to work properly by management and that is what we now do and wont do anything else but in the future. Eventhough they have caused the system to fail.

Now I have been off work for a couple of weeks and on my travels have seen one area where posties delivering on bikes by 7.45.

Then another area posties using cars.

So whilst here in London we try to protect jobs by working properly others are doing nothing to help the cause except bleat when out for just 2 days.

If in the end we get nothing from the agreement at least I know how much I can do in a days work (a lot less than before) .

I'd like to remind wardroom that despite losing 18 days pay in London, to which we have heard nothing but crowing, to our 2, Royal Mail would not be negotiating anywhere with anyone without that support and as for the bleating - "London Calls for more strikes" sounds like bleating to me - most offices who lost just two days pay were incensed that the strikes were called off, with an interim agreement which turned out to "ringfence London and all its problems" - so there was bleating, but it wasn't from the provinces.

Here we go again , its a London deal , its a sell out , its divide and conquer.

Yet again we have the same posters saying the same thing without backing them up with facts.

Well here are the facts according to the reps on the ground reported by the Divisona Reps and reported by Royal Mail to Roger Poole.

Resolution to Local issues. Remember only where offices have had imposed revisons or where revisons were agreed in 2009. 680 in total.

Scotland was reported that they now have 40 agreements to resolve the problems caused by executive action. More to come.

North East 33 agreements .More talks going on in other offices.

North West / North Wales 20 agreements including Burnley , Liverpool , Blackburn and Carlisle.
Didt have a lot of executive action in 2009. More discussions going on elsewhere.

Midlands - 12 agreements didt have lots of executive action, further talks underway in other units.

South West / 40 agreements reached more local talks on -going.

South East -14 agreed including Kingston , Brighton . Guildford and Croydon. More local talks underway.

Anglia 21 agreements more talks underway in all other units.

Northern Ireland , agreements made in BT7 , BT8 , Downpatrick and Derry or Londonderry depending on your poltical choice.

Thames Valley slow progress but didt have much executive action , but an agreement has been achieved in Wootton Bassett further local talks taking place in Uxbridge , Marlborough and Workingham.

Wales- Caerphilly which saw EA talks are underway .

London we have in the last few days reached 4 agreements, So this London deal some of you claim is hardly working. Take the blinkers off since the Joint statment on London with Acas involvement we have started to make progress but we wouldt have in our opinon without someone independent in the room such was the bitterness of the dispute.

So based on the evidence above progress has been made on the resolution of the offices effected.

But dont let the facts get in the way of claiming that London is getting special treatment or that the Union is selling everyone out.
