The LTB is in Union room been there since last Tuesday LTB 1064/09 - CWU HQ Budget Process 2010 or something like that. Plenty of views, 209 to be exact but no comments. Perhaps everyone is too shocked by what they read to comment?
Are you telling me there are national level reps/officers/NEC bods who get a wage from the CWU and honoria payments on top?
A true “honoraria” is generally a payment received by an office holder. It may only be a token payment rather than a commercial fee, but it is clearly a payment which results from holding the office. Such payments are “earnings” for the purposes of section 3(1) SSCBA 1992 and will be liable for Class 1 NICs.
