Me and my mate were promised a van and we were really looking forward to it, but now we have been told it aint gonna happen and if our bike's become beyond repair we will be given a HCT. That will turn our walks into 5hr deliveries so we told the Lino if that happens we're off.

It will be interesting to see what they do about the driving part of it, I've been asking about doing my days training on the van for over a year and all of a sudden I've been told to go get an eye test, get it stamped and RM will reinburse me £17.50 towards it before getting put forward for any van training. :funneh

We have park an loop in our office and it works a treat. The only complainants now are those who want to use their own cars, come in early etc etc.
You know the ones who put is in this position in the first place.

We also have park and loop and there are still problems after more than a year - the duties are too big, were never risk assessed and went in the face of union advice - still thats the price you pay for a complacent union organisation.

Lets for example look at a town delivery as opposed to a rural park and loop - Town delivery 3.5 hrs, Park and Loop, 4hrs 15, pay is exactly the same, choice for moving from park and loop back to a town round - neglible, because the agreed resign never took place, union reps - useless. Reason for being moved from a town delivery to a park and loop - had to be full time - now - any old body will do because there is now a third of the workforce part time. Will we get a divisional officer or ACAS to sort out the problems, will we be ringfenced :left:
