What agreement? The CWU have agreed on something? Or is this the agreement where they agree to do what Crozier says?

I don't suppose for one second it is a closely guarded secret that any emergent agreement will be very much on the same lines as the 2007-2009 Pay and Modernization Agreement!

What we want to know is whether any, let alone all, of the ambiguities attached to 2007 Pay & Mod have been rectified and the various elements of Phase 4 are alive and kicking and ready for implementation. Don't forget letters were exchanged between CWU and RM acknowledging the need for Phase 4 to be negotiated. Those letters were dated back in September of this year discussing an issue that should have been signed, sealed and delivered back in April 2008!

If RM and CWU couldn't agree on the interpretation of the 2007 Pay & Mod over the space of 2 years there is no effing chance of a totally new agreement appearing by early December meeting all the concerns and aspirations of the membership.

CWU HQ had overwhelming support to maintain the pressure on RM until an Agreement was reached. The fact that HQ have made that task so much more difficult (by suspending industrial action) is the fault of HQ and not that of the membership!

Which is precisely why the LTB released today was a complete waste. The membership knows what it wants .. it gave a majority decision for the mandate to persue the concerns and aspirations by means of industrial action where necessary.

I don't need summaries .. I don't need reports .. I don't need reminding of the key principles .. just get on and do the job you were elected to do!

I heard that in London RM have agreed to go to ACAS. That sorts them out, what about the rest of us?

well seems divide and conquer has hooked you sunshine.
dont bite.

royal mail have been after us for ages and we have taken s**t loads of days action to stop them and them steaming into you lot.

we lose you will certainly lose
RM will go for the toughest and hardest scalp and hope the rest of the country will fall like a pack of cards . RM picked fights and orchestrated strikes in London in Summer which is traditionally an easy time for RM .

In the past they've attacked Bristol and Burslem - it's no coincidence - all well organised strongholds .

Just look at some of the postings by the RM plants on Postman Fluffy :hmmmm bragging about brinkmanship .

London & West Scotland bailed the rest of the country out in 2003 when the Union was on it's knees - so staff would have a union to complain about .

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
