Could have been just another boring day, except My dum hauled Me into His office and issued Me with a Serious Warning. Which I get to keep for a whole 2 yrs! I've had a clean driving record for 12yrs and 10mths and He could have issued a reprimand. Oh no, much too lenient, went for the jugular instead. This one dots the I's and crosses the T's like you would'nt believe.

Hya disguntledpostie1 we had a wtl today and we were shown these scanners and funnily enough I said the same to dum does this mean RM are going to assimilate us! I can't see that little cable lasting for very long especially if it gets snagged on something. Also were told we'll be using pda type scanners in the future for specials and records. UNIFORM DEPT, take note, we'll need a coat with bigger pockets!!!

i need reassuring that once we win this battle with those to job wreckin cock munching greedy fat cat w*****s known to many as laurel and hardy that this job will be a better place to work.
i dont want a 6-2 job . i took this job for the early mornings . i left a factory job (6-2) to become a postie. but nowdays its looking as tho the next level will be 9-5.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Weather or not....
I have come to the conclusion after many years in this job, that weather forecasts are for amusement only and bear little relation to what is happening or what is likely to in the foreseeable future. Despite positive pictures, maps and promises to the contrary, it always seems to be raining on me. I walked through yet another thunderstorm and accompanying soaking today with the local radio weather girls sexy voice in my earpiece telling me of an imaginary land where it was dry with sunny intervals - DO THEY EVER LOOK OUT OF THE f***ing WINDOW TO SEE WHAT IT'S DOING ???

Come on mate! You live in Manchester. What do you bother looking at the weather forecast for? From Swinton to Stockport it's rain all day and every day.rhino49 wrote:I have come to the conclusion after many years in this job, that weather forecasts are for amusement only and bear little relation to what is happening or what is likely to in the foreseeable future. There used to be saying in the forces "If it ain't raining it ain't training" I think we should adopt it as "If its not raining were not picketing"
