Not sure if anyone noticed but the recording he made on his mobile phone is now online and after reflection I now think the manager involved is (allegedly) a tosser.

Shocking!

"I own this place, dont like it get out!"
"You get that or nothing else!"

How is this man in business at all!
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

If you own a Post Office, I am afraid in this case you HAVE to work for free, you can't refuse to take pre-paid parcels, just because you are not making profit, in this case, you HAVE to.

I listened to this yesterday, the manager is out of his mind...I think he will probably have his contract taken away...

Quite right, if delivery posties are now expected to do OT for nothing the same principal should apply to PO owners

Exactly though for a claim there has to be BLAME!

Please Sir! - Your having a laugh aren't you?

What about

"You'll get that or nothing else!"
"No listen, I own this place and I'm telling you now"
"We don't accept these, take them away, we don't do it - end of"
"PLEASE SIR! I am asking you to leave my premises'
<Shouts and gets aggresive> I am asking you to leave my shop or I am calling the police! (Over a bloody parcel and a minutes work for gods sake)

Ahh! I see what you did there! There's a job in the Daily Mail beckoning for you!

Oh and they also threw his parcel out into the street apparently acording to the new article posted, but I guess they were not making any money so its ok.

Sounds like we might be in the communication business ? I like the fact RM do actual acknowledge the fact that sometimes they might not have to offer a service at a loss or non profit. Good job we don't agree to offer our competitors a none profit cut price downstream access opportunity to our final mile service, postcomm or no blo@dy postcomm.

I hope, that since this gentleman is such a stickler for rules and regulations,he abides by British Tax Laws if he, as I suspect,is a trader on such sites as e-bay. Although I can not prove he is in fact making money from his little venture, there are plenty that do, many while claiming benefits.!!! I Would like to have seen in the report what his job title was, if any!!! Sorry but this is a sensetive subject to me as I know of someone who openly mocks me on my round for doing what I do- walking in bad weather..up at 5 am...etc etc- while he doesnt in work except for a few hours a day in front of his PC and earns, together with his benefits and paying NO tax ,more than double my wage !!! Slightly off track then but it does really wind me up !!!!
