No pleasing some. What would you like a custom made pair of shoes.mclovin wrote:Yes, the CAT trainers, thats what Im on about when I said "My CAT shoes are size 8, free to a good home, cos they're bloody crap."
They had the back of my heel blistered to f***. I'd ebay them if I thought some skanky gaffer wasnt watching like a hawk.
Will end up giving them away to one of my colleagues

Re: shoe shortage?
I'd love some custom made shoes but RM don't have to pay for that. I'm happy If they just let me where my Merrell all terrain walking shoes. But in true RM style they are to comfy and safe for me to be allowed to wear them. I've never fell wearing them unlike everything RM supply and they don't leak as soon as you suggest ot gonna rain.RoyalQuest wrote:No pleasing some. Re: shoe shortage?
I don't like the Magnums particularly, but I've been wearing the new CAT trainers (incidentally, waited 2 months for my new shoes, and had actually ordered the Doc shoes! Couldn't be bothered to chase it up though. Not waiting another two months...). They chew my feet up, are quite slippy, and get soaked in rain. Not good. Might go back to the Magnum boots. But I won't make a fuss about it. Live and learn. It isn't like I've paid for any of them.

Re: shoe shortage?
Best posting shoes I've ever had have been a pair of worn out old Adio skate shoes. Obviously couldn't wear them for health and safety reasons, but sometimes was a nice break if I could manage to sneak them out on delivery and change!
Soft, loose, comfy, very little tread, wide and flat. Never so much as slipped in them and never felt as happy pounding the pavements!

Nope, just something my feet feel comfortable in for 8 hours a day, at least 3 of which is brisk walking.RoyalQuest wrote:No pleasing some. I tried em and they're not to suit si I'll wear my own again, no problems.
BTW give it a couple of months with the CAT trainers and then come back and tell everyone how they are, especially when they get soaked, then begin to fall apart.

Re: shoe shortage?
I've had my CAT trainers a couple of months now, they are comfortable sometimes slippery on some surfaces. I thought they were waterproof, my feet stayed dry the first time we had a downpour but wore them in another downpour the other day and my feet were drenched within minutes, do we have to spray them to keep them waterproof? Can't be wearing them on any wet days anymore knowing my feet will be soaked all the way through delivery.
