We've all had DIMs like your gaffer, and we've all seen cuts in our offices, and we're all facing more cuts in January, as I said before, good luck.

But they will not go out and test your walk, it will be run through the Pegasus software, and irrespective of how fast you think you are, the program will reach its own conclusion...mainly that your walk needs more calls, and you are not working for the hours you are being paid.
Duties already been through Pegasus, that was BEFORE more calls were added due to new houses being built on my duty.
So you`ve had Pegasus and they have also built more houses on your walk yet you can still finish early...wow are you superman, able to leap huge dogshits in a single bound?
I`m impressed a pair of Adam Croziers boxer shorts with the hole cut out in a specific place will be on the way courtesy of the Courier. :cfo
P.S can I come and work at yours it sounds wonderful and I`m at a bit of a loose end.

Well done Royal Mail...remember the old advert `We know everybodys name` or with us it`s personal.......no need to bother about campaining CWU about walking at 4 m.ph when there are t.wats who run around to make a few minutes but will moan about anybody who dares to claim overtime if they walk round at a normal pace.
If thats the real future to Royal Mail then your f***ing welcome to it.
Not every customer on your round though. Let me guess you are one that chats all day to every customer where there is someone at the end of your duty expecting a first class important letter. But no you milkit and dont give a s**t what the customer wants.

Yes, we're facing cuts but only to indoor work, not outdoor.

There are a few leaving/transferring in Jaunary to be replaced by people on shorter contracts, but no outdoor work will be forced on us apart from the 13 weeks lapsing in the summer that is.

We have a good, mostly efficient office, what can I say, no need to be petty about it just because yours is not.

Walk at a steady brisk pace never jog.
I rarely have my eye to closely on the finish time as thats where the temptation to cut corners
comes in.
i found myself pushing the pace a bit the other week and whacked my shin on a customers concrete planter.
only because i started to think could complete on time if only i could save 10 minutes!
Its always dangerous to rush and sometimes painful!

Bog off, don`t talk to me about what the customer wants when your busy running round like a ***** unable to pass the time of day, that important letter your wittering on about can`t be that important that 15 minutes is going to make any difference..sheesh... and if it was that important it would have been better to send it special delivery with the van anyway
As it is I`m sure that I once had an important letter amongst all the readers digest and farmers weekly..think it was about 1995.
Nice try though must do better 2out of 10!

Don't be silly, no such offices exist according to this forum. We all carry 500kg a day, deliver to 3000 houses and get finished just before the nightclubs kick out.

Dare to finish any earlier than that and you're a t*sser that's ruining the job by running around. You ought to get on your hands and knees and MAKE the walk last until your finish time.

Ever since our rounds got changed Im booking overtime nearly everyday. Managers think Im taking the piss so they are gonna test it themselves they've said. They are just waiting for me to re-write my frame coz its a bit of a mess. But since I dont have time to re-write it coz Im out doing overtime finishing their f**k up of a round, it doesnt look like its getting done soon, even though they keep ringing up to see if I've done it. :d'oh!

By rushing around im on the golf course or playing football manager or generally in the warmth of my own home, while your slugging it out all day long wasting your time. 15 minutes? More like 2 hours. Home for brunch most days. The important letter your referring too is the one from royal mail with your p45 telling you to get into line at the dole queue!

I could walk faster, but I'm nobody's mug, and especially not Crozier's, that's for sure.
:Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause

We could ALL walk faster but at the detriment to the job itself. There is not only to slow but to fast as well.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one
