We've been park and looping for 14 months, initially as a trial for three months, after which there would be a review and a resign - guess what? - yep, still waiting. The initial plan was trialled in Durham and the union was asked for advice and we were told to go ahead - then some months later we had the no change, no savings, no cooperation - but of course the horse had already bolted. Not that that made any difference of course once on the slope it was downhill all the way, agreement after dodgy agreement.

It is in action in a city where my brother lives. Since its introduction his post has been delivered anywhere between 1.30pm and 7.30pm. In the last two weeks he told me that there have been several days when post has arrived after 5pm. The odd thing is that there have been a few days when a guy on a bike has delivered and this has been late morning. Tells a story. I have told him to ring the delivery office and complain but like everyone, he cant be bothered. Thats why RM are getting away with not keeping to the USO
