Those benefits will be put on the back of the postage stamp on the letter detailing "the agreement" after the fluidity of the situation has solidified. Although I don't think the CWU is dead I do think the Priest is in the wings.POSTMAN wrote:Bet you don't give back any benefits the 'dead' give you though eh?Night Tonic wrote:CWU is dead

Exactly. Don't see many singing the praises of the CWU anymore or King Shrek. Hear more from those that want out. The other thing you won't find out is how many have already quit the union. That one is a closely guarded secret. Apparently its rising but If the CWU isn't dead it sure smells funny.
As for those that stood out in the cold/rain while others went in, looks like those that went in were not so daft after all.

How would you know that people are leaving the CWU (unless you know something that we don't)Night Tonic wrote:Exactly. Don't see many singing the praises of the CWU anymore or King Shrek. As for your comment about strike breakers being 'not so daft' I'd personally rather fight and lose than not fight and hope I'm left alone, at least that way I know why they're coming after me.

usually a Hellmail line about mass resignations ? - think the Fluffy site tried that tactic in 2007 too .DGP1 wrote:How would you know that people are leaving the CWU (unless you know something that we don't)Night Tonic wrote:Exactly. If you don't stand up to RM - you get pushed around - end of , always been that way only it got a lot worse - only language RM understand - even if it's lions led by donkeys .
Even a former RM HR manager has been scathingly critical of RM's bombastic & destructive brinkmanship policy , even a hated Senior Manager said the business plan was corporate suicide .
Plants on the other forum openly brag about deliberately orchestrating strikes - that's the oldest 50's spiv trick in the book , if it's not , it sounds if RM are stuck in a 80's time warp .

Only an idiot would think he could win this one. RML will keep changing, no matter how much Hayes bumbles his way through TV interviews. Get real.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
