London to decide on further strikes on Monday

Well I don't really know what to say, except London seems to be the only ones who have been having meetings with Royal Mail, London seems to be the largest of the units not already in turmoil through change, London haven't had park and loop, London haven't had Pegasus or part time hours by the shed load. The only time that Royal Mail came to the table was on a National Ballot so I can understand the call for National Action - however - nationally we came out on strike to support the call for action only to have the leadership call off the action when it was about to be at its most effective, now that action said a whole host of things. The leadership do not support IA and in calling off the strikes abandoned London to its fate. There is not going to be a return to a national stoppage this side of Christmas and when it is called, bear in mind, the moving finger writes and having writ moves on. Just my opinion of course but I think the PEC and leadership are of a like mind.

I agree, there seems to have been too much political influence brought into this (along with the buyoffs) but that said I'll not be coming out of the union because being in it can mean that I can throw those who think only of themselves out on their arses.

Just heard that as a gesture to its members the PEC have announced the date for another national strike !! it will be on Dec 25th so as not to upset management

Well I won't be on the picket line but I can state quite categorically I will not cross the picket line
