how safe do you think your job is ? i think this is the question we need to be asking ourselves after reading this document i heard some of this the day before yesterday ,it could be your job or the next person you work with !!!!!the job share bit could half your office you do the maths from what your reading well where is the union that is a question i would love to ask our so called leaders there back bone is gone wonder what they got from all this new house new car a hoilday in the sun well they let us rot in a mess they made i think where now all f****d well the royal mail comes for the spoils of war and the union have already been agaist the wall bang bang and where dead with them like they said for those that are left the royal mail will be a good place to work i state for those that are left !!!!!!!!! i dont trust the royal mail or the union how many of us will be out of work in the next year your guess is as good as mine i think around 20,000 to 30,000 of us? why did we strike can someone please let me know because that was the biggest waste of time i feel sorry for all them that lost weeks of pay like the boys and girls in london SOLD is an under statement we have been s**t on from a high hight i was behind the union 100% because i thought we would get something out of this like many did all i can say now is god help us all and wait for the cull to begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you thought u where getting some stamps and your bonus for xmas from the royal mail they have give you all this how nice of them ? well thats the rant over i know its early but id like to wish everyone a good xmas and new year all the best

our union must be happy with this document
rm must have shown them their business plans by now

What is really frightening is that I believe that this plan is already known by the CWU and you can imagine the horror tha leadership had when they saw "job share", "self starters", "12 hr contracts" and what they are prepared to trade off just to sit at the table. Nothing persuades me more that the CWU are interested in the CWU as an entity and not the benefits of the membership who pay their wages.

I agree it is a wish list and I believe it has been taken from the current state of play in Holland and TNT.............. which is tipped to be the third party investor, eventually. Now I am sure that there have been meetings where TNT have given "conditions" for investing and this Government and Royal Mail are desperately trying to meet. It is misguided because this isn't Holland or TNT and they should be concentrating on making Royal Mail succesful in it's own right and not in trying to fulfil someone else's criteria for an investment opportunity.

I'm also suspicios about the "leaking" of this document.
It is always advisable to tell your members how terrible it could be before you tell them how bad it will be.

I can well believe that as TNT have wanted " conditions " - RM plants on Postman Fluffy say the TNT blueprint is continually adapted for the UK - er well of course !

The big idea was a standardized cost of delivery per letter / item throughout all the UK DO's .

I agree about the threat to CWU membership numbers unless the CWU have a amalgamation in mind ?
