But to get back to the real issue on the topic subject "London to decide on further strikes on Monday" - well how long is a piece of string is one of those unanswerable questions posed to the semi lucid - and I suppose "which Monday is it that London will decide on further strikes" will join the list of unanswerable posers - speaking of which - where are the apologists and supporters now?
Perhaps the union think that all this will blow over and the membership will have a short enough memory to forget the sell out - well it won't and I certainly won't.

For 2010/11 leave selection to be set up in links,
one person off at a time.The leave is absorbed
by people in the link and removes the need for a

Royal Mail absolutely love the idea of absorption - like we are sponges - but hey - even a sponge has its limits and we've already reached ours. 3 day job share is already with us and looks to be even more widely proposed in the new year.
If there was any reason whatsoever to have continued the strikes then this document is surely it - does anyone notice a mention of "agreement", or "suitable reward", or "full time work" - what I see is absorption, absorption, savings, savings and yet more absorption.

I heard today that london divisional commitee have unanamously deceided to ask the PEC to resume the national strike ASAP as meetings with RM have shown they are not sticking to the interim agreement.
Would prob need clarification from someone else but i have it that this is the case as of today.
Will the PEC listen???

Can't see the strikes being resumed just because London have said so, Don't think we will see any strikes before Christmas. In some ways thats great because of the money side but it pi**es me off that this is our best time to get somewhere with the threat of stike action and no action is being taken, I fear in January it's all going to go tits up and then the CWU will have no support

Oh I don't know there is always going to be those who want to jump on the bandwagon, curry favour with the PEC and the leadership, blame the membership for voting the way that is recommended by that same leadership and somehow always turn defeat into triumph. Some may think that there is a merger on the horizon with another union, who knows, we certainly wouldn't.

Have we lept back in time to this time last week, ? Excatly the same was said about RM not sticking to the agreement back then and what do the union say 'we'll wait and see what happens in the next few days and report back on tuesday next week', i'm afraid it aint going to happen the union need to grow a pair.
