xmas bonus?

our dom has told us there will be NO xmas bonus this year, is this true?
he also said he is in the 'same boat as us' and also did not get any type of bonus this year and is subject to a pay freeze just like us.
any truth in this?

i could blieve us not getting the christmas bonus, but i certasinly no the managers get there usual bonuses full of s**t mate!

just to stop the gloom and doom merchants, yes there will be the normal £100 xmas bonus this year. but anyone who don't want to take this money from royal mail, just contact the phone number on your payslip and ask for it not to be paid to yourself.

no doom and gloom it makes no diff to me whether we get it or not except as I now off sick I would have to be back at start of qualifying period.

Unless things have changed as long as you are on full sick pay you still get the bonus paid to you. I know of one person who have got it when off on long term sick.

we were told that we would get the 100 quid bonus at a random wtl yesterday, as im p/t will i get it based on pro rata? or will they do a last year and pay me about a quid?

will be pro rata to your contract, ie 20 hrs - £50, 30 hrs £75 .

Everyone should get it, even part timers but you need to work the whole 4 weeks leading up to Xmas. If you go sick then they will adjust the amount or take a proportion of it back if it's already been paid. £100 isn't very generous I got much better bonuses in retail where I used to work and I didn't get wet or freeze!

if there is an xmas bonus and I am 90% certain there will be then it should follow the same criteria as before
