What a load of crap!!!!!.....Quote 'the seriousness of the situation'...so serious that there will be a review next Tuesday???..lets deal with it now!.Two weeks later still no change.No change in the managers attitude,no local agreement back and still no earnings.So 19 days of strikes for what???????????....thanks for taking it serious...do the decent thing and get the strike action back on before its to late!!

I read the Reps Brief from the web site - this Interim Agreement Document was dated the 18th November - which would suggest that it was in reference to the PEC meeting held today and in fact does refer to it BUT the Reps Brief is dated 12th November 6 days before - so regardless of what the PEC decided TODAY the decision not to reinstate the strikes had been taken 6 days ago by all accounts. What time do Boots close?

The decision not to reinstate the strikes was taken the minute they signed this "Interim Agreement".
I knew it,You knew it and the majority of members knew it but most importantly Royal Mail KNEW IT.

It seems strange to me that although all diaries have been cleared to engage in talks we don't seem to be any further on. In fact the union are now requesting a copy of RMs Business Plan for next year..ask any sodding postman and they could tell you what it is cos managers have been spouting off about for over a week now. And deep down I think a lot of managers now see a bleak future for us all and are in agreement with the rank and file of this union.

GMC is to make savings of at least 10% next year, this is on top of the unagreed savings for 2009. So if Ward and Co. think that management are going to reinstate what they have already took out then they really are living in cloud cuckoo land.

They will tweek at some of the changes but at the end of the day they are coming for more hours and it is about time HQ got their act together and sorted this out because they have let RM get away with it again and I have never heard so many people talk of leaving the union.

I have always supported my union but I really do think a grave mistake has been made here as it was in 2007 and I fear that the future of the CWU will be short lived.

By the way enjoy your seat in parliament Mr Hayes because your attitude and incompetence all the way through this dispute has been obvious. I don't think you even believe yourself sometimes when you talk.

We've already had 2 versions of next years business plan given to our rep as well a being told that a 2nd revison is comming in the 2nd week of January 2010. The business plans had CDV's and walk sequencing as methods to take jobs out, the Area and Div rep have been informed . What fecking planet are HQ on?

it is amazing how all the PEC/HQ apologists are missing on this thread....

so...what needs to be the strategy before it is too late and Xmas is over?

angry workforce...obstructive and unwilling union hierarchy....there is a solution!

to get these pacifists back in line it involves taking away the hand that feeds them, putting the union in a financially vulnerable position and bringing the whole dispute to a final closure, one way or another....

I am not going to state it...I will let others do that...and it isn't about cancelling your subs and is all about true solidarity and organisation, whatever the cost....

that cost isn't much when you actually stand back and look how little postmen and women are paid, especially when you compare it to benefits.....

so what is the elusive solution?

So the unions whole strategy is based on trying to prove to teacher the other boy is a bully. What happens when the other boy is the headmasters(mandelson) son?
